Still foaming at the mouth thinking about how Vax carried Percy’s coffin. How for most of season two and early season three there was still so much tension between them. (Ignoring the fact that in the campaign they never got closer before Percy died!) How not even a few days earlier they had JUST somewhat patched things up. Do you think he felt guilty? Because he didn’t have a chance to tell his friend that he was important to him. That he loved him just as much as everyone else. That they didn’t get a chance to joke and bicker like they used to?

Do you think he carried the coffin so Vex didn’t have to? So that he could literally help her carry her grief and guilt??

Do you think he blames himself for being a champion of death, yet unable to lead Percy to a peaceful one.

I want to imagine that after all of this happened, and suddenly all Sending and Scrying and other divination magic isn't working, - somewhere out there in Exandria, Percival de Rolo just rolled up his sleeves and began to invent the fucking telephone.

I like to think that despite canon's ambiguity on the subject that Phoenix became good friends with Iris after BttT and she sends him handmade scarves and gloves and stuff in the winter. One day Phoenix goes to visit Kristoph in prison while wearing one of those scarves and is like ":( Kris.... we were toxic with benefits for 7 years and you never made me anything. You're in prison this long and you didn't bother learning some arts and crafts??? Cmon you never even knitted me a scarf" and Kristoph makes some snide remark about it but then a few months later Phoenix gets an unlabeled box on the porch of WAA that has this really shittily made scarf in it and Phoenix refuses to let anyone touch it bc he is convinced it's poisoned somehow. And he's right.

Having thoughts about Pixal and Ice Emperor Zane rn...

IE still not remembering but he still knows her. He doesn't know why or how he does, but he releases her from his guards. Despite any protests from Vex, IE allows her to stay in the castle.

Pixal is distraught at his memory loss, but takes his recognition of her as a glimmer of hope. She ends up spending most of her time in the castle with him, trying to help him remember. He listens to her and starts asking her to tell him stories about them from before he lost his memories.

At the beginning, IE asks Pixal why he knows her, and she tells him, "we... we are compatible." (hoping that it would spark some memory.) It doesn't help him remember entirely, but it does feel familiar to him. He ends up asking her about it later, and asks her to teach him what it means to be compatible.

just. Ice Emperor falling in love with her all over again, without even getting his memories back, and Pixal learning to love this new facet of Zane just as much as the old him.

...might write a fic based on this tbh...

The Rain Road as Gaeilge

I am by no means a translator, but I do speak Irish fluently and have played trad for years (although I've lapsed due to college and work), so when the fireside chat mentioned having the Rain Road in Irish I had to throw my own spin on it. I may also record a version of it in Irish but we'll see. Shoutout to @franavu for also inspiring me with their Dutch translation!

Question for the mocf au, Does Zane like sneak out of the palace past his bedtime for a midnight craving and Vex has to go track him down or is he just like "I ain't dealing with him it's fucking 2am"

This made me BUST out laughing for like 5 min HCXWKSJDNSN

But! Yes, the Ice Emperor would leave at odd hours of the night to go hunt; I imagine his sleep schedule is already fucked since before he'd kinda just sit around and/or sleep with no real concept of time lol.

Vex mostly leaves IE to his own devices when he goes out, knowing he can handle himself (and is usually accompanied by a few blizzard samurai), also partly due to the fact that Vex does find it disturbing to watch. The Ice Emperor brings him along sometimes though, to hunt with him; he likes sharing the activity with his advisor. Though ofc Vex never eats anything.
